WhatsApp is undoubtedly the most used messaging application in the world. Although there are very valid and feature-rich alternatives, whether out of habit or something else, the messaging app by Meta continues to fascinate many. Its popularity, however, does not coincide with its potential use, which many users make merely for sending and reading messages, exchanging photos, listening to voice messages and to stay in touch with those we care about but, perhaps not everyone knows that it is possible to extend the basic functions with simple tricks within everyone's reach, which we will reveal to you in this guide (divided into 4 different articles, so we invite you to stay connected with our blog).
Topics of this article:
SENDING MESSAGES TO OURSELVES
You are used to sending messages to your contacts but never to yourself, yet in WhatsApp there is this very useful function. For example, sending a message to yourself allows you to take notes or reminders, even voice ones, or send yourself files to transfer to another device to which the same account is connected (spoiler). To do this, just open the messaging app, go to the chat section and click on the + symbol to start a new chat. At this point, as a contact, you must select the first one in the list, which then corresponds to ourselves, which is also recognizable by the fact that the app will indicate us with the suffix HERE.

HAVE WHATSAPP ON MULTIPLE DEVICES
In the first trick I anticipated the possibility of having WhatsApp and its account on other devices, which is useful for example for passing files. In my case I often use it to install third-party apks from the smartphone to Android systems for cars, but the function can be useful for example if you use two smartphones, the cool one for situations that require it and the less performing one for example if you go to the beach. So to have the same WhatsApp account and not lose any chats on a second device, you must obviously install WhatsApp on the latter and start it but, in the screen where the phone number is asked you do not have to enter anything, but click on the 3 dots at the top right and choose the CONNECT AS COMPLEMENTARY DEVICE option. At this point a QR Code will be shown: now go to the main device and always click on the 3 dots at the top right. Choose the CONNECTED DEVICES option and then on the CONNECT A DEVICE button. Now you will have to scan the QR code displayed on the second device. The synchronization of chats and contents will then start. You are ready to use WhatsApp on two different devices with the same account, moreover you can also use the procedure on two devices with different operating systems, such as Android and iOS.
A QR CODE CAN TURN YOUR DAY AROUND
Speaking of QR Code, with WhatsApp through this technology, you can share your contact with friends or other people, making the operation easy and immediate, a useful function for example for professionals who need to send their number to potential clients. To do this you have to open the app, click on the 3 dots at the top right and then choose the Settings menu. Next to your username you will find the symbol that identifies the QR Code, which once clicked will make you see a personalized QR Code to be scanned by the person with whom you want to share your contact, or from the same screen you can scan a QR Code that has been proposed to you.

REAL PRO RESEARCH
How many times have you needed to search for a specific message containing essential information, such as the credit card PIN your wife left you to go shopping? Well, searching for a message in WhatsApp is very simple. Just enter the reference chat and click on the 3 dots located at the top right and then from the menu that opens choose the Search item. Now in the search bar that appears at the top, you have to type the term you want to search for, choosing as an additional filter also the date to go to find the term or view all the messages received from the contact on the date used as a filter.

For this article the tricks end here, but stay tuned, because I promised you 20 more and so soon I'll see you here on the blog with a new episode.
