Ice Bucket Challenge is a viral phenomenon on social networks that invites, or rather challenges, the major faces of the international technology world and many other celebrities to get hold of a bucket of water and ice. The reason? Focus on a serious illness.
We could translate it as "ice bucket challenge." This is an initiative born to attract people's attention through social networks, ALS, amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, a neurodegenerative disease affecting neurons. The initiative, which also includes fundraising, has been widely accepted by the international technology community. We have witnessed many videos in which people such as Bill Gates, Tim Cook or Mark Zuckerberg are thrown on ice with ice.
Even the main technological personalities of the Chinese world are taking up the challenge, starting with Lei Jun, CEO and co-founder of Xiaomi. Jun had the water thrown on the head with ice, challenging three others to do the same, as the initiative requires.
Here is the video of the nice time lived by Mr. Jun:
We hope that the initiative will achieve the desired results, and that the technological community can help for such an important cause.
