Oppo R9s is certainly not a secret, after the numerous leaks that emerged in the last month and the TV commercial already broadcast in China, only the announcement of a launch date was missing. In fact, today OPPO sent the invitations for the presentation event, which will be held on October 19th. Like its siblings, the R9s will focus heavily on the camera, and OPPO's invitations reveal an important detail: R9s will be the first to mount the Sony IMX398 sensor. No other official information has been revealed, but rumors speak of a 16 Mpx dual-pixel camera with f / 1.7 aperture. The smartphone should also mount the Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 octa-core processor, 3010 mAh battery and VOOC fast charging, 4 Gb of RAM and 64 Gb of ROM.
The invitation does not explicitly mention the R9s Plus, although the model has already appeared in a commercial. It is therefore not known whether the latter will be presented in conjunction with the basic model or in the future, just as it is not possible to know if the difference between the two models will be only the size of the screen or there will also be changes with regard to the hardware (as with R9 and R9 Plus).
