Redmi Turbo 5 to debut in January with new Dimensity 8500 chip

Confirming the launch date is the well-known leaker Digital Chat Station, which anticipated the arrival of the first smartphone equipped with the new Dimensity 8500 chip, designed by MediaTek and produced by TSMC using a 4nm process.
The REDMI Turbo 5 will be the first device to feature the Dimensity 8500, an SoC that promises high performance thanks to its A725 octa-core architecture, composed entirely of high-performance cores. The main core reaches a frequency of 3.4GHz, ensuring responsiveness and fluidity even under load.
On the graphics front, the chip includes a Mali-G720 GPU with a stable 1.5GHz frequency, which according to preliminary tests exceeds the theoretical performance of the GPUs integrated into the Snapdragon 8 Gen3 and 8s Gen4 chips. This means that even mid-range users will be able to enjoy smooth and visually advanced gaming experiences.
The Dimensity 8500's AnTuTu benchmark reached 2.2 million points, placing it among the best chips in its category. This result confirms Xiaomi's aim to bring flagship-level performance even to its most affordable models.
The REDMI Turbo 5 will feature a 1.5K flat display, ideal for multimedia content and gaming, and a high-capacity Xiaomi Jinshajiang battery, designed to ensure long-lasting battery life even with heavy use.
These features, combined with the new chip and the traditional software optimization of Xiaomi, make the Turbo 5 the most powerful model ever seen in the REDMI Turbo series.
