Did you know that in addition to smartphones, smartwatches can also be rugged in nature, therefore resistant to shocks, scratches, high and low temperatures but without sacrificing a gratifying look? Today we discover one, the Maxcom TITAN Pro, which stands out not only for what has already been mentioned but also for the fact that it has a battery that allows for significant autonomy, up to 50 days in standby and about 10/12 days with daily use, with the possibility of making and receiving calls from your wrist. Curious? Then make yourself comfortable to read this complete review.
I would like to point out right away that I have also included the purchase link for the KOSPET Tank M2 model and this is because in reality the smart watch proposed by Maxcom is a simple rebrand, with some slight differences, but the software, companion app (GloryFit) and all the features are the same. Unfortunately, the company does not allow the "convenient" purchase directly on the site, where it does not even propose the sale price, but you still have the choice of winning the product on Amazon or on AliExpress, moreover with free shipping from Spain, therefore with fast delivery.

Maxcom TITAN Pro comes in an elegant case where we find the watch well stored and protected inside, a skin-friendly silicone strap, a charging cable via a base with a proprietary connection by means of magnetic pogo pins, manuals and a plastic film to protect the smart wearable display. Once the wearable is assembled with the strap, which also offers a quick release and therefore you have the possibility of customizing the outfit with other straps easily available on the market, the design that winks at the rugged world is immediately evident. As already anticipated, the smartwatch has a nature that also allows it to resist high and low temperatures, with MIL-STD certification protection class IP69, water resistance up to 5 ATM allowing the TITAN to withstand depths of up to 50 meters without problems. It also works very well in humid, muddy and sensitive environments to harmful UV rays.

Of course, if the TITAN pro falls to the ground, even on a street pavement, nothing happens and then we have the possibility of immersing it up to 50 meters (5 ATM) and in fact among the monitorable sports we find swimming as well as a series of water sports. The dimensions are 55 x 44 x 14 mm (thickness) and a weight of 60 grams (including strap), which do not make it particularly suitable for thin and/or feminine wrists.

The case is made of plastic materials but equipped with an armored metal structure and a stainless steel panel, which guarantees resistance to any type of fall and impact. On the case we find 3 buttons, one on the left side that is used to call the sports monitor or if held down it calls the SOS call function. On the upper right profile we find the on/off button of the display that if held down calls the shutdown/restart menu of the device while the lower button on the right side allows you to go back from the menu where you are or if held down it also calls the shutdown/restart menu.

On the back of the smartwatch we find the magnetic pogo pins for charging and a sensor dedicated to detecting heart rate (green light) and SpO2 values (red light) protected by a glass. Speaking of sensors, Maxcom TITAN Pro unfortunately does not integrate GPS. The weight of the device mentioned above may seem high, but it is the angular shapes of the case that actually create a slight discomfort in contact with the skin. The weight is justified by the presence of a large 380 mAh battery capable of offering up to 50 days of use in standby while with standard use and without compromises the autonomy brings from 10 to 12 actual days. A value not exactly impressive if we consider that our rugged watch boasts the presence of a 1,85-inch IPS display with a resolution of 320 x 385 pixels. Among other specifications, we also find the presence of Gorilla Glass protection, so you won't have to worry about cracks or scratches, but unfortunately there is no sensor dedicated to brightness regulation, so you have to manually adjust the brightness.

Viewing under direct sunlight is perfect when viewing content on the screen when the display is turned on. The scrolling fluidity is also pleasant and the large surface area available allows for good reading of notifications and other information. Speaking of notifications, these can be received from all applications installed on the smartphone, but they can only be read and it is not possible to view photos or listen to voice notes, despite the TITAN integrating a microphone and a speaker.

In fact, our TITAN Pro offers the possibility of managing calls from the wrist and of interrogating and giving commands to the voice assistant. The connection is via Bluetooth and therefore you must have a smartphone connected, but the call function was excellent because even at high volume, the smartwatch returns a full and crystalline audio without particular muffled or distortions. We can also use the watch speaker to convey all the audio coming from the associated smartphone, for example for listening to music while we run, so as to put the phone comfortably in our pocket and have a sound closer to our ear.

Fortunately we have a vibration on the wrist, settable on light, medium and strong values (cannot be deactivated), which I assure you feel great especially with the alarm. The software system is proprietary and does not allow installation of external apps, but we find almost everything necessary. The menu can be set to 3 different styles and the watchfaces are also customizable among the many made available by the accompanying app. We can also create one with a personal photo but we cannot associate complications, but only display date and time.

The menu is available in Italian, but the translation is slightly “macaronic”. We can synchronize contacts from our address book up to a number of 999, but we can also enable favorite contacts to call them more quickly. The classic functions such as weather, stopwatch, timer, calendar, remote control of music, remote photo shooting (passing exclusively from the data synchronization application and not from the phone's stock camera) are not missing. It is great that the alarm function can be set from the smartwatch while in terms of alerts you can receive a reminder about sedentary lifestyle and drinking water.

In terms of sports, Maxcom TITAN Pro is not particularly oriented towards fitness, despite the fact that there are over 70 sports that we can monitor but in addition to the absence of GPS, there are few sports that have dedicated metrics and therefore choosing one sport or another serves only to differentiate the activity you have performed. The health measurements made available are related to cardio, SpO2, blood pressure, sleep and respiratory relaxation. For heart rate and SpO2 the reliability of the data has proven to be very good as well as sleep, it can precisely detect the beginning and end of sleep, also recognizing the REM phase and light sleep as well as understanding if we get up at night and allows the monitoring of daily naps.

Blood pressure, in my case, often hit the right value compared to a dedicated tool, but I think it was more luck than goodness of function, since the value returned is given by an estimate of the data collected up to that moment. Although the data is not very complete and accurate, I found a good accuracy of what was recorded, which can be consulted from the companion app available for both Android and iOS, which is also very simple but still functional.
CONCLUSIONS AND PRICE
Maxcom TITAN Pro has proven to be an excellent smartwatch, aesthetically beautiful, resistant and with functions that are difficult to find on cheap devices. It is not very complete but the functions offered work really well. Calls are heard well, which is not so obvious, we have good health data monitoring and a practically infinite battery life. The real flaw is that there is no trace of the real selling price and on Amazon you can find it at a very expensive price, at least for modern times, where with the same amount you can get a smart watch with more functions. However, you can buy it on AliExpress or at least buy its twin brother, at a price of around 46 euros including shipping, so I recommend you take advantage of the offer.
