Today, the well-known Chinese blogger Digital Chat Station broke the news that the Xiaomi 12 and 12X will be unveiled on the same stage. Both smartphones will have an almost identical exterior design and will both be equipped with a high-curvature adaptive screen and a single hole in the top center for the front camera. At the rear, the series will be equipped with a module with three cameras, one of which has a large sensor and a resolution of 50MP. The size of the module between the two devices will be essentially the same.
Xiaomi 12 and 12X (mini) will have an almost identical design, dimensions apart
As we have learned in the past, the Xiaomi 12X (mini) will be a small flagship. The main differences between it and the Xiaomi 12 will include the SoC which will obviously be different. On the Xiaomi 12X we should in fact find the Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 processor, while the Xiaomi 12 will be equipped with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen1 processor presented a couple of days ago.
Another difference concerns the screen size. The Xiaomi Mi 12X should arrive with a screen that has a diagonal of about 6,28 inches, a Full HD + resolution and a refresh rate that should reach a maximum of 120 Hz. According to several leaks, the width of the body will be only 65,4 mm (while the height will be 145,4 mm), therefore narrower than the iPhone 7 with a 4,7-inch screen (the width of the iPhone 7 is 67,1 mm). This means that it should be a smartphone that is easily operated with one hand.
As for the screen of the Xiaomi 12, here we should find the typical large panel that should exceed 6,5 inches diagonally. The refresh rate should be 120Hz and the resolution could be 2K +.
Finally, according to the same Chinese leakster, both smartphones will be officially released by the end of this month.
