Xiaomi has launched the new in Italy 15T series, available in two versions, with Leica cameras, Mediatek processors and an updated operating system. But the real surprise is not in the technical specifications: the two models introduce a function that allows you to call without cellular network or Wi-Fi, turning your smartphone into a modern walkie talkie with a range of up to almost 2 km.
Xiaomi 15T and 15T Pro official in Italy: specifications and prices
While in China already the next series is being prepared, in Italy the Xiaomi 15T series models are official. This time, however, it is not just an aesthetic or power upgrade: the T series brings with it a mix of functions photographic, hardware di level and it's a gem that will change the habits of those who use their smartphone even in areas without coverage.
Let's start from the display: both models have one OLED screen from 6,83 inches protected by Gorilla Glass 7i, with a peak brightness of 3200 nitThe difference is in the fluidity: 144 Hz for the Pro and 120 Hz for the standard version.
Brightness management also varies: PWM at 3840Hz on the 15T, while the Pro also offers the DC Dimming full brightness, useful for reducing visual fatigue. Xiaomi has also reduced the 27% thinner frames: on paper it seems like a lot, but in real use it won't be easy to notice a millimeter less.

Leica branded cameras
Here Xiaomi has decided to raise the bar. Both models share a 12-megapixel ultra-wide sensor (15 mm, ƒ/2.2) and a selfie cam from 32 megapixels with pixel binning, but the real games are played on the main sensor and the telephoto lenses.
- Xiaomi 15t: 50 megapixel main lens (23 mm), with the possibility of a 2x crop to 46 mm. In addition, there is a 50 megapixel telephoto lens, also at 46 mm, which can be cropped to 92 mm. The result is a focal length of 23 to 92 mm without digital artifice, but with a rather short telephoto lens;
- Xiaomi 15t pro: here the telephoto lens becomes really interesting. 115 mm ƒ/3.0 optically stabilized, with a 50 megapixel sensor. It can reach 230 mm without losing quality and go up to 20x thanks to AI.
The Pro version also records video in 4K to 120 fps and supports 10-bit Log with real-time LUT: a gem for those who want a professional taste directly on their smartphone.

Xiaomi Offline Communication

To use it, you need a Xiaomi account and a SIM card inserted, even if it doesn't connect to any network.
Battery and recharge
Both are mounted 5500 mAh batteries, but the charging speeds change:
- Xiaomi 15t: 67W wired, no wireless.
- Xiaomi 15t pro: 90W wired and 50W wireless. The promise is 80% capacity after 1600 cycles, a figure that will reassure those who keep their smartphone for a long time. The problem remains the same as always: to exploit this power, you need battery charger owners not included in the package.
Mediatek processors and HyperOS 3.0
The T-series abandons Qualcomm and moves to Mediatek:
- Xiaomi 15T: Dimensity 8400-Ultra (5 nm), with 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage.
- Xiaomi 15T Pro: MediaTek Dimension 9400+ (3 nm), always with 12/256 GB as standard.
