Xiaomi is preparing to bring its electric cars to Europe., and the first technical clues are already there for those who know where to look.

The codes have appeared in the GSMA register 26120VP3DC e 26120VP3DG, both linked to the automotive division of the Chinese giant. The associated release date points to December 2026, but it is the last letter that deserves attention: in the Xiaomi nomenclature, the C identifies products intended for the domestic market, while the G stands for global versions.
Until now, this distinction has only been made between smartphones and smart devices. Now, for the first time, it appears on automotive hardware.
The suffix VP stands for Vehicle Platform and indicates a central component of the vehicle, probably the infotainment system or the on-board display. The parallel presence of the two variants suggests a platform, unique, designed for adapt to both Chinese and European and international regulations.

Xiaomi vehicles integrate advanced displays, cellular connectivity and cloud services that communicate with the entire brand ecosystem through HyperOSSelling outside of China requires obtaining market-specific network and security certifications. The approval of a global version indicates that this work is already underway.
The model involved remains uncertain. It could be the Xiaomi SU7 (and we might already know the price), an electric sedan launched in 2024 as Xiaomi's automotive debut, or a completely new vehicle originally designed for international distribution and about which we know nothing yet.
If the deadlines are met, the 2027 could mark Xiaomi's effective entry into the European automotive market, with a proven approach: building an ecosystem where cars, smartphones, and smart homes speak the same language.
