Xiaomi is preparing to strengthen its range of audio devices with a new high-end model. Xiaomi Buds 6 They recently appeared in the TDRA database in the United Arab Emirates with the model number M2540E1, a sign that their international launch is imminent. While the certification doesn't reveal in-depth technical details, it confirms that these are true wireless earbuds with Bluetooth connectivity, poised to position themselves as the brand's new premium offering.
Xiaomi Buds 6: Certified in the UAE, global launch imminent
As the name suggests, the Buds 6 represent the natural evolution of the Xiaomi Buds 5, launched globally in September 2024, and the Buds 5 Pro, which arrived in February 2025. Previous models introduced advanced features such as ANC (Active Noise Cancellation), spatial sound support, aptX lossless codec, as well as a stem design and variants with silicone ear tips for improved passive isolation. It's therefore not difficult to imagine that the Buds 6 will take these features to the next level, perhaps with improved audio quality and battery life.
The previous earbuds also offered Dolby Atmos (when paired with Xiaomi smartphones), AI-powered ENC for clearer calls, audio tuning by Harman, and IP54 certification for dust and splash protection. The Buds 6 are likely to retain a similar design, with a sleek build and features designed to satisfy the most demanding users. The goal is to consolidate Xiaomi's position in the TWS market, offering a product that competes with its high-end rivals.
With TDRA certification already obtained, the Xiaomi Buds 6 could launch globally within a few weeks. There's no official information on price and availability yet, but considering the premium range, it's reasonable to expect a price tag around €149–€199, in line with previous generations.
