The debate on which will be the first smartphone equipped with Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 chipset has been going on for some time and contending for the "title" are Samsung's Galaxy S8 and Xiaomi's Mi 6. The surprise could be Zenfone, about to present a top of the range at the International Consumer Electronics Show this year, which could outwit the competition by beating it on time. Kevin Wang, a well-known industry analyst, has no doubts that the Mi 6 will still be the first Chinese smartphone equipped with this processor and has reiterated his position on multiple occasions.
The specifications of the highly anticipated chip have already been revealed: Octa core design, high performance up to 2.5GHz frequency, maximum efficiency at 1.9GHz and X16 LTE support. Conversely, the Mi 6's specs are unknown and leaked information is scarce. The rumors speak of a smartphone with a design very similar to that of the Mi Note 2, while as regards the technical characteristics there are rumors about a dual-lens photographic sector and a curved screen. Other rumors speak of various versions of the device, each characterized by different specifications, not only with regard to ROM and RAM. Diversions aside, we are sure that Xiaomi will be able to give us an exceptional product, regardless of the business model adopted.
A great race for speed… when an eye on camera performance ??
With the Mi5S they have made great strides. Even if the software optimization does not allow the results that the IMX378 sensor deserves (see differences with the Google Pixel), it is certainly encouraging to see that they “noticed” a great need / lack in this direction.
In short, it is really missing poco to make us happy 🙂
I agree.
