Rumors and rumors continue with regard to the new Xiaomi Mi5 range top smartphone. We have recently discovered, through rumors that there is nothing official, that the Xiaomi Mi5 will be presented next January 21. Probably this could be done for two reasons:
- Anticipate the release of the Samsung Galaxy S7
- Celebrate New Year's Eve (8 February) with the most liked gift from Xiaomi enthusiasts
Both reasons are valid so we can define this plausible (in Mythbuster style) indiscretion. Among other rumors of the last few hours we also find a confirmation about the presence of the fingerprint sensor Xiaomi Mi5: New Confirmations on Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 and Imprint Sensor | which will most likely be closely related to the Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 SoC | Xiaomi Mi5 Will Support Qualcomm Sense ID 3D Fingerprint? |.
What is new is the possible presence of a central physical key, much appreciated in competing smartphones. In fact it would give a much better use experience than a soft touch button in the body, as it could also be used to awaken from the smartphone's stand-by.
