Xiaomi 16 Series Gets Closer: The Latest from China

One of the most discussed aspects concerns the size of the displays. Pro Mini model should adopt one screen from 6,3 inches, while the Pro will come with a panel from 6,8 inches. The model basis, Xiaomi 16, will be positioned in the middle with a display of about 6,5 inches, offering a balance between compactness and immersion. All models will be equipped with high-resolution OLED panels, with thin bezels and symmetrical design.
On the photography front, the Xiaomi 16 series could introduce a front camera from 50MP, a first for the brand. Although it has not been officially confirmed, it is likely that this feature will be extended to more models in the range, including the Pro Mini, the Pro and the standard model. As for the rear compartment, the Pro Mini is expected to integrate a large main sensor, a periscope telephoto lens and wireless charging support, making it a true compact flagship.

However, due to its more complex internal structure, the Pro Mini could have a slightly smaller battery than the standard model. The latter, according to the leaker, will be the most balanced of the series, with a battery between 7.000 and 7.500 mAh, high performance and a compact design, ideal for those looking for a powerful yet practical device.
All models in the Xiaomi 16 series will be powered by the new Snapdragon 8 Elite 2, Qualcomm's flagship chip built on the 3nm process, which promises a generational leap in efficiency and power. For the Ultra and 16S Pro models, expected in 2026, there is also talk of the introduction of the Xring O2, a new hardware platform that could replace or complement the Snapdragon chip.
