The update isn't limited to cosmetic tweaks or bug fixes: it introduces a series of substantial new features that improve both the interface and the fitness and health tracking features.
One of the most notable new features is the pool mode, which now offers more precise tracking of strokes and laps. Thanks to the work of Xiaomi's sports algorithm team, movement recognition has been refined, making the device more useful even for competitive swimmers.
The update brings a graphical overhaul: more refined icons, adaptive visuals, and the ability to hide less-used preinstalled apps. The result is a cleaner, more minimalist display, in line with the HyperOS visual language.
The notification system has been enhanced with smoother animations and more natural transitions. It's now easier to distinguish between priority alerts and general notifications, improving the management of interruptions during your workout or throughout your day.
At the heart of the update is the new cadence and pace algorithm 2.0, which integrates data from variables like gait dynamics, heart rate variability, and environmental conditions. This allows the Band 10 to offer scientifically-based training recommendations, increasing tracking accuracy and personalizing goals.
