With the advent of the ZTE Axon 20 5G, the first smartphone in the world to have adopted a selfie camera under the display, 2021 will certainly be the year in which the various manufacturers will have their say with this innovative technology. Generally it is the Chinese OEMs to excel but even Google seems to be willing to follow these footsteps, so much so that an alleged Pixel 6 project leaks on the net, even if Google has not confirmed or denied the veracity of the image.
From the various blogs in the sector, reference is made to Pixel 6 although the prototype seems to have more the name of Pixel 5 Pro, but apart from this what we are shown is a phone with a design completely similar to the current Big G smartphone, but with a substantial difference concerning the display.
A patent reveals that Pixel 6 will have the selfie camera under the display
From what emerges it is clear that the alleged Pixel 6 will adopt a selfie camera under the display, positioned in the center at the top of the panel, occupying a "rather" large surface compared to the usual holes we are used to on current smartphones. The back of the prototype instead carries the same camera module that we saw on the Pixel 5.
Google is currently silent on the leak, but it is clear that what will unite the most important smartphones that we will see in 2021 will undoubtedly be this new technology, as well as the ugly fashion launched by Apple to remove the charger from the sales package.
