In China Xiaomi has hired more than 200 small companies, half of which are used for the development of artificial intelligence. The houses of the Chinese are now full of ecosystems that work according to this technology and it is calculated that only in the middle ground, more than 115 millions of devices connected to the network they managed to build the aforementioned largest and most impressive IoT platform in the world.
And speaking of AI, Xiaomi's assistant called 小 爱 that we have described counts over 30 millions of active users every month and more than 1 billion accesses in the same period. Lei Jun also said that in the last two years Xiaomi has invested a lot of time and money in artificial intelligence, so much so that she now has a technical team of over 1.000 people which develops the processing of natural language in machines and therefore l'thorough language learning. Thinking about it, however, Xiaomi did not start this type of investment from poco, since theWe use it almost daily on artificial intelligence through the photos we take with our Mi devices: beauty filters, bokeh effects, scene recognition are just small examples of AI that has been integrated into daily life without us being aware of it.
Finally, the CEO said that the ultimate goal of this type of investment in the IoT is to widen the digital platform more and more in order to keep consumers and businesses connected, until the latter enter into the very wide discourse of the "smart home". A secondary objective it is then that of drive the continuous transformation of technology industries.
