All the details on the Mi… Populele

On Valentine's Day, Xiaomi thought to celebrate the 60 ° product of the Mijia line by presenting both a smartwatch for children, of which we talked to you in this article, both .. an ukulele! Populele is the smart ukulele that allows you to quickly learn how to use this music tool and track your progress.

For those unfamiliar with it, the ukulele is a small size guitar with far fewer strings. It is of Hawaiian origin but its use has spread all over the world and has recently been brought to the fore in Europe thanks above all to LP, an Italian-Irish-American artist who enchanted the last Sanremo with his amazing performance. Xiaomi thinks this musical instrument will be very successful in China.

To play this tool, first download a specific Xiaomi app that works with smartphones with Android 4.3 and above or iOS 8.0. This app indicates the position of the fingers through the LED illumination of the Populele keyboard.

Maybe it will take several tests to get used to, but Xiaomi guarantees that you will be able to learn to play all 100 and more songs made available in the app.

From the technical side, the characteristics of Xiaomi Populele are these:

  • made with Indonesian rosewood and nylon strings produced in Italy by the Aquila company, specialized in the production of synthetic or natural strings for ancient or modern music;
  • weight: 500gr, length: about 58cm (23 ");
  • 72 LED lights inserted in the keyboard (ABS);
  • battery included by 800mAh;
  • micro USB and Bluetooth 4.0 LE jack for easy and fast pairing with your device.

Xiaomi, in the official price of around 58 $ also includes a case, a handy beige cotton backpack with leather inserts in color that resembles that of ulvet wood.

From the international official forum they know that Mi Populele participated in the IF Design Awards 2017, which we also talked about , promising.

The crowdfunding for this object quickly reached the 397% of its target and Xiaomi announced that the Populele expedition will depart from March 28.
