Something has been moving in the air for some time and it seems that even in the global area there have been changes. Let's talk about Amazfit, the part of Huami that deals with smartwatches and sports wearables. We know that in 2018 Huami acquired 100% of the company Zepp, of which we have seen a new smartwatch just released that takes the name of Zepp E. Although we said that this wearable will not arrive in Europe, it seems that its name has somehow touched us. The proprietary application Amazfit has indeed changed its name, but it doesn't dress, and now it's called Zepp.
A name change that, in terms of functionality, will not have repercussions: the Amazfit app is now called Zepp. But what will change for us?
Said in all frankness, absolutely nothing will change. This is a simple change of name, which has already been reported on Play Store but not of functionality. Evidently the Huami brand had been planning to make a change of clothes for some time as Zepp has been moving for more than a month. A small change to be honest there is and it is theinterface. In our opinion, however, this has improved and not by poco. If you go to the Play Store and look for the name of the app we were using so far, it will appear as the first result "Zepp (formerly Amazfit)".

As we said in terms of functionality, nothing changes, only a few small changes in the interface but nothing striking. In particular, the look getting a little darker, but all in all we also like it that way. There is also no change in the registered data and devices. The application will continue to maintain wearables (and not) that we have paired up to now. The transition, as we read in the description of the app, began a few days ago and will end on the 25th. We do not exclude that within this moment there will be problems in terms of usability but we hope to make mistakes.
