A few days ago we saw the global launch of a product that we all expected. A futuristic product that at a really affordable price (at least for now) will come to our wrist: Amazfit X. THE'hybrid between a smartband and a smartwatch which will drive the market mad debut on Indiegogo. But if you remember correctly, some time ago we gave you news of another very interesting and unreleased Huami product: Amazfit are. A rugged smartwatch which takes up the idea of T-Rex but that the company never mentioned. We came into possession of images who portray him with a lot of main specifications.
Here are the first official images of Amazfit Ares: a compact rugged with everything we need on a smartwatch
We saw the first appearance of this smartwatch thanks to a leak on the Chinese social network Weibo. The device showed up on a list of other devices Amazfit but we haven't heard of it since. Until now since the first official images in Chinese language have been released.
As you can see from the pictures, Amazfit Ares looks just like a rugged from a few years ago. This form personally reminds me clocks a hair dated, but still the features that it integrates make it to all intents and purposes one SmartWatch. The shape of the dial is octagonal unlike the round and square ones that we are used to seeing usually. The thing that immediately catches the eye, however, is not so much the shape of the dial as it is thickness: wearable in fact seems very subtle for the kind of device which represents and therefore somewhat compact. At first glance the strap, silicone, it does not seem interchangeable.
They don't seem to be present physical keys and to confirm it (you can see the cover photo) there are three touch buttons in the lower and upper right corners. These will act as cursors to move between the device settings. We can't understand if those on the right side are physical buttons or not: in this case also those will be used for navigation.

At the battery level we will have one 200 mAh which allows up to 13 days of autonomy with use 24 hours a day and 90 days on standby. Using the GPS + GLONASS autonomy drops dramatically to 23 hours. Unlike what we could have expected it is not equipped with Bluetooth 5.0 but with 4.2: however, we expect this "deficiency" not to have much impact on the user experience. No NFC chip.

Unfortunately, we are not aware of the launch period nor of the price. Amazfit are it is positioned both in terms of design and features between the Amazfit Bip and the T-Rex. In any case, for now we know that there are only two colors available: black and military green.
