This afternoon the Amazfit brand which is part of the Xiaomi ecosystem has launched the new Amazfit GTR 4 and GTS 4, the first with a round dial and the second with a square shape; let's go and discover them together!
Amazfit GTR 4 and GTS 4 official in China: new ultra-precise GPS system and up to 50 days of autonomy
Let's start with the Amazfit GTS 4 which adopts an elegant square design with a 1,75 ″ AMOLED screen, the thickness of the body is only 9,9 mm and weighs only 27 grams, so it is extremely thin and light. The GTS 4 comes in four color combinations: Quiet Black, Water Rhythm White, Floral Powder and Sunset Gold
Moving on to the features, the health management on the Amazfit GTS 4 has recently been updated and is now equipped with a new high-precision bio-tracking sensor, the BioTracker 4.0 dual-light three-color and 4-channel to achieve collection capabilities of the most accurate data.
This sensor system provides functions such as monitoring the heart rate of the exercise at a level of accuracy similar to that of belts for reading heart rate; the function of calculating the state of health based on blood pressure; monitoring of blood oxygen in any weather, sleep monitoring; and the PAI health assessment system to protect our health in the round.
On the Amazfit GTS 4 we also have a new twist in sports management functions, adding support for over 150 sports modes such as golf swing, strength training in the gym, running club on the playground, etc. All complemented by real-time voice transmission and the PeakBeats professional sports algorithm, we therefore have a professional-level assistant.
As for location tracking, we have a more accurate GPS positioning system thanks to the first patented design of the dual frequency circular polarization GPS antenna with metal body. The product supports the world's six major satellite positioning systems and adopts L1 + L5 dual-frequency GPS technology for faster and more accurate positioning. At the same time, we have the possibility to set the routes and the navigation of the same in real time, so as to have a faster navigation and recording of outdoor routes.
In terms of battery life, after optimizing the power consumption of software and hardware, the Amazfit GTS 4 achieves an impressive 8 days of battery life with average daily use, which is not bad given its thin and light body. At the same time, it supports the “watch” mode, which allows it to be used for up to 30 days.
The Amazfit GTS 4 will be sold in China at a price of 1199 yuan, about 170 euros.
Moving on to the Amazfit GTR 4, this model still maintains the traditional original dial design. The front is equipped with a 1,43-inch AMOLED screen with a resolution of 466 × 466 and 326ppi. There are two built-in color schemes, and the natural mode and vivid mode can be changed freely. It also has a frosted glass bezel AG, the same technology used on several smartphones.
In terms of sports, the GTR 4 supports more than 150 sports modes such as golf swing, gym strength training, playground run, sailing, swimming, alpine skiing, etc. With self-developed ExerSense AI engine, it can intelligently identify 8 sports modes without needing to initiate the mode manually.
As with the GTS 4, the Amazfit GTR 4 also debuts with the first dual frequency circular polarization GPS antenna system with a metal body, which serves to receive the signal in a more efficient way.
As for health, the GTR 4 is also equipped with the latest generation of the self-developed BioTracker 4.0 PPG optical sensor by Huami Technology, which improves the accuracy of heart rate detection during exercise by 5%, has the screening function blood pressure and all-weather blood oxygen monitoring, sleep monitoring, PAI health assessment system and other health functions.
In terms of battery life, the Amazfit GTR 4 has 7 days of battery life when actively used during the day, 14 days in medium mode, 24 days in power saving mode and up to 50 days in watch-only mode.
In other respects, the GTR 4 has the integrated Zepp OS version 2.0 operating system, supports Bluetooth calling, local music playback and other features.
Finally, for prices, the Amazfit GTR 4 will also be sold for 1199 yuan, about 170 euros.
