The new smartwatch Amazfit t-rex and the pair of headphones Amazfit PowerBuds and Amazfit ZenBuds are not the only products to have seen sunlight at the conference on the most important technology in the world, CES 2020. The Chinese brand has also released the Amazfit HomeStudio. What is it about? Let's find out together!
Amazfit HomeStudio presented at CES 2020, transform your home into a gym!
Although the name is quite confusing, and makes us think of possible home stereo systems or the like, the Amazfit HomeStudio is actually a truly innovative treadmill / screen kit and the largest product (in size) presented by Amazfit or the Huami parent company.
HomeStudio is therefore a larger treadmill, at least on paper, than those we have already seen and reviewed by brands such as Xiaomi (see Xiaomi Youpin Walking Pad C1). This increase in size allows the user to run faster and smoother for a maximum speed of 20km / h, as well as the possibility of raising the slope of the treadmill up to 7 degrees. So if we are not a fan of running, we can walk quickly at a higher slope by burning more calories than the absence of a slope.
In addition, as we see in the photo above, there are two hand rests, so as to help those with balance problems or be used as bars to perform dip and therefore also train the upper body. The maximum weight supported by the bars is 100kg.
But the Amazfit HomeStudio is much more than just a treadmill. The device arrives with an additional 43-inch screen arranged vertically with HD resolution to watch training or other videos as well as view all the information regarding the activity carried out such as duration of the workout, heart rate, distance traveled, calories burned etc ..
The screen is then accompanied by a microphone with excellent noise cancellation so that you can control the various voice assistants directly from the treadmill itself.
But the surprises don't end there. We also have a 3D ToF camera system to capture our movements, process them internally and then suggest how to improve our training. For example, it can identify an incorrect posture and advise you to change it to avoid injuries and increase the results obtained.
Finally, the Amazfit treadmill equips speakers specifically produced by JBL for this product. In particular, there are three high-quality, full-range speakers, two on the platform itself and one on the smart screen. So we can listen to quality music even when we train without disturbing other devices.
Amazfit did not disclose any data regarding the price or the date of listing. However, we expect a fairly high price.
