Amazon Fire TV Soundbars Arrive in Italy with Dolby Atmos and DTS:X
Amazon offers two distinct versions: the Fire TV Soundbar basic and the most performing Fire TV Soundbar Plus. Official prices? Starting from 109 € for the simplest model, we arrive at 214 € for the full Dolby Atmos version. But be warned: all that glitters is not gold, and there are some questionable choices.
The basic model is a very compact device, with a length of about 60 cm and equipped with two full range speakers. It supports DTS Virtual: X e Dolby Audio, but no subwoofer or separate channels: the sound is all inside that thin bar to be placed under the TV.

The simplicity of integration is one of the strong points: thanks to the compatibility with Fire TV and HDMI CEC support, all you need is a remote control to manage everything. Furthermore, thanks to the Bluetooth It can also be used with smartphones, tablets or other devices, using it as a wireless speaker when the TV is off.
However, this very simplicity also conceals a limitation: theabsence of external components as subwoofers or surround speakers it leaves an important part of the sound experience uncovered.
In other markets, Amazon also offers wireless subwoofers and surround speakers to expand the Plus's performance. But Unfortunately there is no trace of it in Italy.
Amazon's new soundbars offer an improved experience compared to standard TV audio, especially for those looking for a compact product, simple to install and integrable with the Fire TV ecosystem. But if you look at the ratio price/performance, especially without subwoofers and satellites, convenience is not necessarily automatic.
