
With the increasing popularity of the Redmi brand, the MIUI development team seems to have made a change of course on the updates dedicated to the "old" Xiaomi branded models. We are talking about Redmi 6 and Redmi 6A, towards which the Chinese developers had given a stop to any OS updates, but apparently in these hours something has moved because the latest major release of the green robot dedicated to the two entry levels is been spotted online.
Android 9 Pie also lands on Redmi 6 and Redmi 6A
Before singing victory, it should be noted that at the moment it is possible to use the upgrade only through an Early Beta, which is a ROM that could be highly unstable. It seems almost obvious to invite you to make a proper backup if something should go wrong. However, we have not had a chance to test it, but the news does not seem to be many: almost nothing from the aesthetic point of view while at the level of software goodies it seems to have been added the Dark Mode, although we remember that the two entry level Redmi 6 and 6A do not take advantage of it, as it is equipped with an IPS display and not an AMOLED display.

Redmi 6 and Redmi 6A were the ultra-cheap smartphones with which Xiaomi did not fear rivals, so much so that in India the records returned by the sales of these two devices have literally monopolized the market in the 2018 price range. Even in Italy they continue to claim victims (in a positive sense), being an excellent and valid alternative for the many users who are not looking for terrific performances and who, rightly, do not stop at the appearance of a technical sheet, but look at the real personal need: a complete, reliable and above all economic smartphone.
