Xiaomi has taken a bold step into the world of intelligent mobility, announcing theDeep integration of the Apple ecosystem into its flagship electric vehicles: SUV YU7 and sedan SU7.
Apple Ecosystem Integration Arrives on Xiaomi EVs, YU7 and SU7

With over 51% of SU7 buyers using iPhones, Xiaomi has decided to fully embrace the Apple ecosystem. Both vehicles now support digital keys via iPhone with Ultra-Wideband (UWB) technology, allowing users to unlock the car simply by approaching, without having to take their phone out of their pocket. But the integration doesn't stop there: Thanks to the Xiaomi Auto app, you can remotely control functions such as turning on the air conditioning, also taking advantage of the iPhone's Action Button and Dynamic Island for quick and intuitive access.
The infotainment system, based on HyperOS, has been optimised to offer advanced integration with Apple Music and supports wireless CarPlay, protected by PIN authentication to ensure greater security. Users Apple Watches can manage some car functions directly from the wrist, while i iPads can be mounted on the rear seats and used via the Xiaomi Car Expansion Screen app to control entertainment and climate control.

This opening towards the Apple ecosystem reflects Xiaomi's broader vision, which aims for a "connected and collaborative" technological future, as underlined by CEO Lei Jun. The YU7, in particular, is equipped with a 1,1-meter HyperVision display and a 25-speaker Dolby Atmos audio system, which integrate perfectly with the navigation and entertainment features offered by Apple Maps and Spotify.
Xiaomi's approach is not limited to simple technical compatibility, but aims to create a true fusion between ecosystems, in which Apple devices become natural extensions of the driving experience. This strategic positioning could represent a concrete challenge for competitors such as Tesla and BYD who have so far maintained a more closed or limited approach within their own ecosystems.
