Xiaomi has proposed two variants of its tablet, namely Mi Pad 5 and Mi Pad 5 Pro, both based on the MIUI 12.5 system interface but with a further specific customization for the two tablets, in fact the software is called MIUI for Pad, which, as the name suggests, turns out to be a customized version of the MIUI specific for tablets, therefore with dedicated and exclusive functions.

Xiaomi said during the launch event of Mi Pad 5, that at the moment there are more than 300 applications already optimized for this function and among these we find the most popular, but by the end of this year it is expected that the number of apps compatible is close to 2000.
Therefore, the use of applications on large diagonal screens as if they were designed specifically for such displays becomes reality as well as real multitasking, which raises the productivity in the use of the tablet to professional levels. MIUI for Pad is clearly inspired by solutions seen in other more famous devices, such as the functions of Samsung's Galaxy Note, especially in the context of using the stylus but also thanks to the cover with integrated keyboard that gives ergonomics and efficiency to the Xiaomi tablet. .
Of course, before expressing a final judgment, we wait to have it in our hands, but above all it should be emphasized that MIUI for Pad is still under development, this is because Xiaomi itself has asked the app developers to join the Xiaomi Open Platform program, that is a platform aimed at improving the ecosystem of applications for Android tablets.
