ASUS has officially unveiled the series ROG Phone 9, made up of models ROG Phone 9 and ROG Phone 9 Pro. These smartphones are specifically designed for gaming enthusiasts, offering cutting-edge hardware and innovative features for an enhanced gaming experience. The ROG Phone 9 series features a 6,78-inch LTPO AMOLED HDR display with Full HD+ resolution. The display supports a refresh rate up to 165Hz for a smooth gaming experience, which can reach 185Hz in selected titles. With a peak brightness of 2500 nits, a DCI-P3 color gamut of 107% and the durable Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2, These screens are designed to last and deliver exceptional images.
Under the hood, the phones are powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite processor, which offers a 45% increase in CPU performance and a 40% improvement in GPU capabilities over the previous generation. Paired with LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.0 storage, the devices support configurations of up to 24GB of RAM and 1TB of storage, reaching a Record score of 3.121.390 on AnTuTu.
ASUS has significantly improved the cooling system with a 360° chip Cooling System Gen 3 design, a 57% larger graphite sheet, and a redesigned AeroActive Cooler X Pro, which includes 12,5% larger fans and advanced thermal materials. The cooler also features a subwoofer for 2.1 stereo sound and adds hardware shoulder buttons for a more immersive gaming experience.
Additionally, the series comes with the ROG Chill Case, which leverages Composite Vapor Chamber (CVC) technology to reduce temperatures by up to 17%, ensuring consistent peak performance even during the most demanding AAA games.
Il ROG Phone 9 presents a configuration atRear camera with a 700MP Sony LYTIA 50 main sensor, which offers 6-axis gimbal stabilization for greater video stability. It is accompanied by a 13MP ultra-wide camera and a 5MP macro sensor. Ecosystem's staff is ROG Phone 9 ProInstead, replaces the macro sensor with a 3MP 32x telephoto camera with OIS for sharper zoomed shots. Il ROG Phone 9 starts at 1099 euros for the model with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, while the 12GB + 512GB variant is available at 1149 euros. It is available in Storm White and Phantom Black colorways.
Il ROG Phone 9 Pro, only available in Phantom Black, costs 1300 euros for the 16GB + 512GB model.
La premium version ROG Phone 9 Pro Edition, with 24GB of RAM and 1TB of storage, including the AeroActive Cooler X Pro, is offered at 1500 €.
The phones are available for pre-order now and will begin shipping tomorrow in Taiwan, Hong Kong, and China, with European shipments expected in December and a US launch scheduled for January 2025.
