We are now a few days from the official presentation of the ASUS Zenfone 7 which as we know will take place on August 26th. But that didn't stop a Chinese leakster from leaking one of the most important details.
Zenfone 7: First real photo confirms flip module with 3 cameras
Some photos of the back of the smartphone have in fact been published on Weibo (the Chinese Twitter). These photos show us a flip module device with three sensors in total. So one more than the previous generation.
A leak a few days ago suggested that the third sensor is a ToF camera. While the main camera will be a 686MP Sony IMX64 and the secondary a 12MP ultra wide-angle camera.
But the additional camera is not the only change from the design of the ASUS Zenfone 7. The image above shows us that there is no longer the fingerprint scanner on the back. The sensor should instead be placed on the right side along with the power button, as it was leaked a few days ago that the device adopts an LCD display.
That said, we can't see any indentations on the sides, which is a feature of smartphones with side-mounted fingerprint readers. So the smartphone may surprise us with an AMOLED screen and sensor below the display.
Finally, as regards the design, the Zenfone 7 will have a glass body (probably Corning Gorilla Glass) and will be available in Blue color.
