Attention to the MIUI 8.4.19 Global Developer for Xiaomi Redmi 5 Plus: a hot ROM !!!

Il Redmi 5 Plus, released in December 2017, was a smartphone appreciated by all Italian and foreign reviewers, part of the mid range segment of smartphones, was one of the first devices with XEMUMX form factor: 18 to be offered at very competitive prices. Xiaomi has been able to exploit the resources already in use on other devices, such as the processor Snapdragon 625, optimizing the hardware and software, giving atruly phenomenal user experience.

Xiaomi Redmi 5 Plus It is brilliant in all daily operations, even the most complex, and also at the photographic level the final quality of photos and videos is definitely improved compared to previous models of similar hardware bill, so as to push the most frantic to install the modded version of the Google Camera making this terminal practically perfect. One thing that is missing at the Redmi 5 Plus is the Android Oreo operating system or rather Xiaomi has released the update to the latter in the form of ROM Global Developer (alpha version) that carries the 8.4.19 numbering.

Unfortunately, not only this build has not brought new features compared to the MIUI 9.5 version but it is triggering many hits to the heart to some users. In fact, no one could expect that the update would have caused Burn-In damage to the displayand this is the reason why the Chinese OEM has ROM withdrew from download. However, you may wonder how these problems occur that are typical of AMOLED displays while our Redmi 5 Plus has an IPS screen, and how can a software update create hardware problems?

Attention to the MIUI 8.4.19 Global Developer for Xiaomi Redmi 5 Plus: a hot ROM !!!

Unfortunately we do not know the answer but apparently the problem (for some users) occurred as a result of a change to the display color settings, others have indicated as the cause of the problem the automatic brightness that does not seem to work as expected, the fact is that the problem of Burn-In is unfortunately a sad reality as shown by the image below where the burned "MI" logo appears, which usually appears during the boot of the device.

Apparently the problem is really huge because, while returning to a previous version of the MIUI ROM, or installing Custom ROM, the Burn-In of the display on the Redmi 5 Plus remains, so the only solution is to replace it. Xiaomi officially has not issued any statement regarding this problem, e we must actually ascertain if the problem is really the update to Oreo or some operation poco smart made by some users, but if in doubt I recommend you if you have installed the MIUI Global Developer 8.4.19 to go back to previous versions or in any case not to proceed with the flash. We will not fail to update you on this burning issue.
