Yesterday we witnessed the launch of the ASUS ROG Phone 3 and Lenovo Legion Gaming Phone Pro, two new gaming phones with exceptional performances that will surely be talked about in the following months. But as it is right, the Black Shark brand that is part of the Xiaomi ecosystem could not stand there looking without saying a word. Here, therefore, that in a cunning, although decidedly easy to decipher, the brand CEO has just anticipated the arrival of a new gaming phone: the Black Shark 3S.
Black Shark 3S anticipated by the CEO: Coming soon with Snapdragon 865 Plus and 144Hz screen?
As we can see in the screenshot above, Lou Yuzhou, the CEO of Black Shark, has in fact shared a post in which he says "Lately I have the feeling that something important is about to happen". Lou Yuzhou didn't mention any Black Shark 3S, but the most careful of you may have noticed that the post was shared by a device called "Tencent 3S black shark". So from a Black Shark 3S that as for the previous version will be developed in collaboration with the Chinese mobile gaming giant Tencent.
But what specifications are we going to find on the new gaming phone? Well almost certainly we will see an upgrade of the chipset from the Snapdragon 865 to the brand new Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 Plus. The new Qualcomm CPU has for the first time exceeded the 3Ghz clock frequency, the Snapdragon 865 Plus runs in fact at 3,09Ghz. This leads to an increase in computational performance of about 10% compared to the predecessor, the same applies to the graphics sector which should see a good improvement and allow us to reach the many required 144fps that go hand in hand with a display with a 144Hz refresh rate .
In fact, the Black Shark 3S should also see a screen upgrade which in many ways was quite disappointing on the Black Shark 3 with a "only" 90Hz frequency. So the new 3S could jump directly to 144Hz, all always with an AMOLED type panel.
What do you think of the update frequency on smartphones? Would you settle for a 120Hz refresh rate? Let us know in the comments section below!
