Everyone will know that Xiaomi has a series high-end and a series low / mid-range. Obviously we are talking about the Mi series and RedMi series respectively. In the middle of the two, what was said of all was a one-faced device with performance from mid-high band smartphones and a price sufficiently low not to be considered top-class. We're talking about RedMi Pro which, according to the latest rumors, may not have a direct successor.
According to what is being read today on the net, a knowledgeable user reveals that Xiaomi would be preparing what might be the first device of X series, the Xiaomi X1, in two variants. We find together what are the leaked features.
Will the Xiaomi RedMi Pro 2 be replaced by a new X Series?
The first variant should therefore mount a display with 5.5 inches with resolution 2K - a rather bizarre choice, if confirmed - and with a high body-ratio ratio. Sources then speak of a full-screen display driven by the expected processor Snapdragon 660. Then add one dual rear camera with Sony IMX362 or IMX386 sensor and the fingerprint sensor on the back, as for RedMi Pro.
The second variant, however, should be content with a more classic FULL HD display and, as the only difference to the other version, should mount the sensor for unlocking on the front.

I state that the prices and memory cuts of what should be the 4 configurations of the device would have been disseminated on the net, but I admit that I was strange and not poco. I'll explain the reason, then you will judge.
Our leaker talks about two configurations for each variant, but announces that the prices of the device would be higher for configurations with FULL HD displays. Which makes me turn up a bit 'nose ... how is it possible ?!
For chronicle duty I carry prices and configurations, but you will judge yourself:
- version with 2K display - (4 GB of RAM / 64 GB of internal storage): between the 260 and the 300 Euro at the exchange;
- version with 2K display - (6 GB of RAM / 128 GB of internal storage): between the 320 and the 360 Euro at the exchange;
- version with FULL HD display - (6 GB of RAM / 64 GB of internal storage): about 300 euro at the gearbox;
- version with FULL HD display - (6 GB of RAM / 128 GB of internal storage): about 360 Euro at the exchange
Why will the RedMi Pro series be suspended?
It would seem that RedMi Pro will remain the only specimen of the series. The reason is soon to be said.
The series may have been canceled due to poor sales results, considering also that during the presentation of the first Xiaomi processor, the Surge S1, no company manager mentioned the series in question, suggesting he would not have followed.
In short, the news would put order among all the rumors that emerged in recent months on the developments of the RedMi Pro series, leaving room for the imagination for all those fans who were waiting for a Xiaomi device with onboard processor Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 announcing one of the best SoC ever made for mid-range!
