The official website of the chatbot based on textual (and non-textual) artificial intelligence Chat GPT, which is already part of many people's routines, is inactive. ChatGPT is down and may have been the target of a cyber attack
On the morning of this Thursday if a user tries to access the website, the following message is displayed: “There was a problem signing in, please take a break and try again soon“. Since last Wednesday, OpenAI has experienced periodic service outages, which have been resolved. The cause of this attack was not discovered by the company; however, a post on Telegram by a user called “Anonymous Sudan" admitted to the attack.

The justification for the attack is the company's support for Israel during the current conflict with Hamas and the threat extends to other American companies, the hacker says. The company confirmed that ChatGPT is experiencing outages both in the chatbot and in the API and that this could be due to a distributed denial of service (DDoS) attack. OpenAI did not clarify whether one attack was related to another or whether the perpetrator was the Telegram user.
At the time of publication of this article the system is still offline. Or rather, you can access it but it doesn't work, sending a red error message.
