The Coronavirus epidemic that first struck China and has been affecting our country for almost a month has quickly become a worldwide problem. This has led to the cancellation of the MWC 2020 and the postponement of the presentation of the Xiaomi Mi 10 and Mi 10 Pro in Europe.
Coronavirus hits India, Xiaomi Mi 10 and Redmi Note 9 Pro Max slip, factories also closed
Turning to today, the problem seems to have moved to India, which now sees the cancellation of several events, the postponement of the sale of some smartphones and even a stop to production.
As you may know, India is the second country in the world, after China, with the largest number of Xiaomi users. This is for both smartphones and smart TVs and various gadgets.
Well, last week, the Redmi brand announced the new Redmi Note 9 Pro Max, a mid-range smartphone with excellent value for money. The smartphone was expected to go on sale starting March 25, but as you may have already guessed, the listing has been canceled for the time being. Specifically, Xiaomi has communicated that due to the quarantine started in the country, the first sale of Note 9 Pro Max has been moved to a later date. The brand recommends continuing to follow them for possible updates.
The negative news was then followed by an equally bad one. Xiaomi has in fact communicated that it has canceled the presentation of the Xiaomi Mi 10 in India, again due to the Coronavirus epidemic. The presentation had been scheduled for March 31, but this will be done in the future on a date not yet decided.
As if this were not enough, due to the quarantine forced by the Indian government, Xiaomi said that: "Every structure, including corporate offices, warehouses, service centers, Xiaomi Mi Home and production plants, will respect the blocking order. At the same time, we will monitor the situation 24 hours a day. "
So, at the moment, India seems the country most affected by the current pandemic, with two slipped smartphones and the total stop to the production of Xiaomi devices. From this part of the world we have instead seen the postponement of the presentation of the Xiaomi Mi 10 series, from February 23 to March 27, always hoping that it will not be canceled in the next few hours.
