Well, today new news seems to arrive from China that always have Xiaomi and counterfeit products as their theme.
Counterfeit Xiaomi smartphones: The brand denounces a Chinese store
The Chinese technology giant has in fact just announced on Weibo (the Asian Twitter) that it has started a lawsuit against a store that seems to be reselling counterfeit Xiaomi smartphones.
According to official reports, during a routine inspection of an e-commerce platform, Xiaomi would have found that the price of a Xiaomi phone sold in a store was different from the official selling price.
After the identification of the purchase and the preliminary investigation, Xiaomi's rights protection team reported the case to the police. The public security organs then went to Shenzhen and Meizhou, Guangdong, to investigate and found that the warehouse was in Shenzhen. In the warehouse they found a large number of packages on site ready to be shipped, inside these packages there were several counterfeit Xiaomi smartphones.

According to the press releases of the public security organs, hundreds of counterfeit cell phones with the Xiaomi brand were seized in this operation, as well as several envelopes (not better specified). The warehouse manager admitted that his e-commerce stores had adulterated behavior, adding that they will have to take legal responsibility for their actions.
Xiaomi reminds users that the correct way to buy a mobile phone of the brand is to go to an official store (in addition to Xiaomi Mall, Xiaomi Youpin, Xiaomi Home, JD.com, Suning, Tmall, etc.) so as to avoid with certainty being scammed.
What can I say, even if Xiaomi is one of the brands with the cheapest smartphones, the counterfeiting machine does not seem to stop even in front of this.
