One of the most asked questions in recent months by fans of the Xiaomi brand was, but when does MIUI 12 arrive on my device? And so when after the thousand scrolls to verify the update, made in the daily, we see the glorious OTA notification that warns us of the landing of the new interface, we run to download it to update our smartphone. But as popular proverbs often suggest, haste generates bad jokes like the one to which some users of Redmi Note 9 have been subjected, disposing that following the arrival of MIUI 12 is experiencing many inconveniences.
Recall that the Redmi Note range is generally among the most popular and appreciated by users who see in these devices the best representation of the quality / price ratio, so there are many users who are experiencing a real drama, after waiting so long time before updating to MIUI 12, which seems to have brought more bugs than benefits.
The main problem reported concerns the greater consumption of the battery and therefore a lower autonomy, with a negative impact on the user experience, which in part had chosen this feature as a determining factor in the purchase. Furthermore, there are many various blocks during daily use to which the persistence of bugs already reported on MIUI 11 is added, which instead of being solved with MIUI 12, suffer from further aggravation, such as the error tied to the WiFi connection.
Do not update your Redmi Note 9 to MIUI 12: that's why
So, if you have not yet received the update or you already have the OTA notification ready to start the update, the advice is NOT TO UPDATE TO MIUI 12 FOR REDMI NOTE 9. Given the serious bugs that occur in this version, it is certainly better to stay on MIUI 11 and update once the community has confirmed that all these bugs have been solved with future updates.
This actually applies as a general rule, that is, wait for the community to respond. I myself, owner of Mi Note 10, I am regretting having updated to MIUI 12. I am experiencing "laxity" that before this terminal did not have as well as slowdowns and shorter battery life. Lately Xiaomi has been losing hits in the development of its software: it seems that the strategy of flooding the market with a thousand almost identical models is creating inconvenience and that's it. What do you think of it?
sorry for my ignorance but is it possible to go back to miui 11? i upgraded to 12 and in fact i am noticing battery issues
j'ai déjà effectué la mise à jours m10 et mon telephone est trop lent, il beug, des fois il bloque, que doit je faire pour retourner a M11 ??
Hi everyone, I wanted to upgrade because my Redmi 9 has too sensitive sensors; even if I disable all the options, when I close it it reopens holding it in my hand and I have to keep it still for a while to avoid this nuisance. Has anyone had the same problem? Can you tell me how to remedy?
All true, then almost all the themes and backgrounds are incompatible, the much-advertised animated ones, moon and mars, do not animate, no update for the window functions that should change from the videos seen and I still have to finish testing it .... how to go back to version 11 ???
well I downloaded it just yesterday uff ... and I have continuous problems receiving notifications that even if activated in the settings I still do not receive on the bar then..if not going to directly open the various apps or mails x then find the notifications..what I can do?? redmi 9
But what do you say about the whole Redmi Note 9 family including the Pro or just the normal 9?
we have not found any enhancements with android 10 [Q], for that model in question. below incl. the link on p. with hypertext and application for that official fw [firmware] recovery and for XIAOmi devices / smartphones.

How can I do to fix ..?
thank you
If you are not in a hurry and are not interested in timely updates, you wait .. But if you don't want to wait because it takes too long and you have even worse results .. At this point I think it is better to rely on modding with ad hoc ROMs. . the problems are solved within a few weeks (often they do not have any) and the devices are always optimized with updated patches and Kernel because the maintenance technician focuses on the single device and has a direct approach with the community to get to the solution in less time … Not to mention regional additions and unlocks... Xiaomi is paying dearly for the launch of many products in a short time.
This commercial tactic will soon have a bad effect on the image of the Chinese manufacturer.
Yes, too many too many… not to mention the different names that the devices assume at the time of regional localization. Too much confusion even for the end user.
