First unboxing of the Xiaomi Mi Note 2
Finally, the indiscretions leave room for the facts and the Xiaomi Mi Note 2 was finally presented. Virtually all of the anticipations have been confirmed and Xiaomi has given us a superb phone, worthy successor to Mi Note!
Xiaomi Mi Note 2 - Unboxing
The packaging is in full "white" style as recently seen in the latest products where the historic "brown" color was abandoned. Only the concave MI logo is visible, transmitting the utmost simplicity and elegance.
At the back we find the name of the model as well as all the specifications.
The opening gives a nice effect, with only the phone in sight and perfectly set.
Raised the phone we find:

Finally Xiaomi has enriched the cover with a cover, maybe in the future we will also have the earphones
Xiaomi Mi Note 2 - First contact
The first impression is truly exhilarating. The double curved glass is something never seen before and it is wonderful!
The Xiaomi Mi Note 2 was made with a 7 grade aluminum alloy such as the iPhone 6S and 7.
It is difficult to define a single and clear color. It is a mix of black that tends to blue against the light.
Above the center, as usual, we find the headset cap, front camera, proximity sensor, and led for notifications.
It could not fail to implement the new ultrasonic fingerprint recognition technology embedded in the Glass Home button.
The volume balance and the power button have a trapezoidal shape and are of excellent design.
The back follows the Mi5 style with its 3D glass. The camera and flash have an unusual central placement.
At the top we find the headphone jack, the secondary microphone and the infrared sensor. We are glad that Xiaomi has not deprived us of the IR and the jack!
At the back there are holes for speakers and USB type-C attachment
The corners of the frame are perfectly rounded.
The display occupies the 77.2% of the front body. The dimensions are 156.2 * 77.3 * 7.6mm with a weight of only 166 g; light and thin as expected!
The display is the best ever seen in a Xiaomi, it's a 5.7 inch 1080p OLED manufactured by LG. Contrast and brightness are remarkable.
The high contrast and brightness of the colors are amazing (110% NTSC color gamut and 100,000: 1 contrast ratio). Even in bright sunlight the display does not disappoint, excellent visibility at any angle, exactly what we expected from OLED technology. The Samsung Galaxy Note 7 has a new rival and not just because of the battery problems.
"Under the hood" we find the Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 @2.35GHz while for RAM and ROM we will have the two variants 4 / 64 and 6 / 128 UFS 2.0.
Confirmed the latest rumors that dimmed a possible double room. However, we have a great deal with a sensor 22.56 MP (Sony IMX 318, F2.0 apertures, stabilization EIS triaxial video image stabilization).
The Xiaomi Mi Note 2 is powered by a battery from 4070mAh, the recharge supports i 18W fast charge. Currently the software provided is the MIUI8 based on Android 6.0 but we can expect a secure upgrade to Android 7.0.
The "Networks" section has been particularly cured and implemented. In addition to the classic dual-sim support, Mi Note 2 supports 6 mode and 37 frequencies that will allow complete compatibility with all planet networks (Global version only).
