The Xiaomi Mi 6 home key will support the gestures

Xiaomi announced yesterday that his next and very early flagship, the Xiaomi Mi 6, will be presented exactly next week, confirming previous rumors on the release date of the device that we had readily reported.

Now new news, leaked by an electronics industry analyst, Sun Changxu, makes it very likely that Xiaomi Mi 6's "home" button will detect gesture and has no longer embedded the fingerprint sensor, which would confirm what we were talking about in the this article just a couple of weeks ago and therefore the recognition of fingerprints is on screen.

The gesture support for the physical "home" button is not new for smartphones, as other manufacturers, including Meizu, Smartisan and even Lenovo, have adopted this technology on their terminals.

If this feature becomes a standard for high-end devices it's still all to see, especially if several manufacturers this year, like Samsung and LG, have abandoned the central physical keypad for wider screens.

Another note worth mentioning of it Xiaomi Mi 6 is speculation on the first officially released poster: the blue background, which should be one of the six colors available for the new flagship, the big "6" of shiny metal to look like water, to suggest, in the words of an employee Xiaomi from his Weibo account, theimpermeability of the smartphone. In addition, this image could suggest a higher quality compared to the Mi 5S of photos shot in low light and at night, which is associated with what was previously released on the use of the sensor Sony IMX400.
