After the presentation of HONOR Magic9 Pro Global on January 7th and after the put up for sale in Italy of last January 15, a great debate has opened regarding the battery of the new top of the range from HONOR: the battery is smaller of the predecessor but not only, also of the global version not marketed in Europe and of the Chinese version. What does this difference in battery capacity entail? Is it really so limiting for HONOR Magic 7 Pro?

HONOR Magic7 Pro Battery Details
HONOR Magic7 Pro is equipped with a new third-generation silicon-carbon battery, managed by the new proprietary HONOR E2 chip that ensures better management of battery health and status, ensuring surprising autonomy.
The two charging modes provided are excellent: 100W wired and 80W wireless using the original HONOR chargers.
Battery Differences with Global and Chinese Model
Analyzing the battery specifications on the official HONOR Italia and HONOR Global websites, the only difference we can notice between the batteries mounted on the HONOR Magic7 Pro concerns only and exclusively the size: 5270mAh for the European model against 5850mAh for the Global and Chinese model; an interesting and particular fact however concerns the weight checked: Despite the different batteries, the weight is the same for the different versions of HONOR Magic7 Pro marketed worldwide.
We have no official information about the reason for this difference, but it seems to be a limit imposed by the European Union with the new regulation for the management of batteries in electronic systems; in this regard, given the uproar it is generating, we expect HONOR to issue a statement to clarify the issue.
HONOR Magic7 Pro Battery Life
The screenshots above speak for themselves: device under test, on the left after the first charging cycle we find 7 hours of active screen with use only in 4G/4G+; on the right, use only in Wi-Fi, we end the day with almost 12 hours of active screen.
Despite the smaller battery, HONOR's new top of the range device manages to maintain the same battery life as its predecessor, the HONOR Magic6 Pro.
