Honor has confirmed that it will launch a new X series smartphone, the Honor X40 5G, in China on September 15th. Recently, Honor released a teaser video, revealing the design and appearance of the device. Today, however, a well-known Chinese leakster has leaked the specifications of the Honor X40 5G.

Digital Chat Station has revealed that the Honor smartphone will be equipped with a 6,67-inch OLED display that will offer a resolution of 2400 × 1080 pixels. The display will support a 120Hz refresh rate, high-frequency PWM eye protection DC dimming, and 10-bit color depth.
Additionally, the tipster claims that the Honor X40 5G will have a dual rear camera setup consisting of a 50 megapixel primary sensor accompanied by a 2 megapixel unit. On the front, it is said to have an 8-megapixel snapper for selfies and video calling.
The smartphone will be powered by a Snapdragon 695 processor which could be paired with 6GB / 8GB of RAM and 128GB / 256GB of onboard storage. It will pack a 5100mAh battery and support 40W fast charging. The smartphone will measure 161,6 × 73,9 × 7,9mm and weigh 172g. On the software front, it will run Magic UI 6.1 based on Android 12.
