How to check the battery cycles of a Xiaomi with MIUI 11 and Android 10

There are so many functions of the MIUI, we are not here to list them all. Foolish or not whether you are, there are features that always remain useful. Here we will see a hidden feature that will allow us to see the charging cycles of the battery of our Xiaomi smartphone. Let's say hidden feature since you don't need a particular type of application to control it, but it will be necessary enter a certain code in the dialer (“Telephone” application) and you're done. Be careful not to call though!

How to check the charging cycles of the battery of a Xiaomi smartphone

Before I tell you how, though, there are two things you need to know. You will have already understood from the title: necessary conditions are to have updated your device ad Android 10 and MIUI 11. If your device has not yet received these two update packages, you will not be able to view the battery recharge cycles in this way.

recharge cycles xiaomi

The procedure is very simple:

  • first you will have to open the "Telephone" application of your device updated to Android 10 and MIUI 11;
  • once opened, all you have to do is type these characters and numbers in sequence: * # * # * # * # 6485;
  • without having to press the green button to call, a window will immediately appear saying "Battery and Charger Info";
  • as you can see in the image, the number next to the wording "MF_02”Shows you the total of the charging cycles of the battery of your Xiaomi device.

What is this information useful for? First of all if you want to buy a used Xiaomi device, you can immediately check in what state the battery is and decide if it is worth it or not. Remember in fact that arrived at a total of 400/500 cycles the battery begins to suffer, regardless of whether you use more or less valid scamotages like charge the battery between 20% and 80% of the remaining charge.

Hi, I have experiencing a severe battery drain issues. I checked using the code (* # * # 6485 # * # *) But that shows MF-02 as 1 !! May be it is counting back wards?
Thanks any way for this feature .. Keep doing good work for noble causes.

In fact here they say 400 but the lithium batteries at 400 start to decrease but quietly reach 1000 guaranteed cycles

I just got a used Mi 8 and the SOT is pretty low so I wanted to check the battery cycles but I don't have MF_02 in the screen, running Miui 11 and Android 10. Am I missing something? Thanks!
