HTC recently unveiled its latest entry-level smartphone, the HTC Wildfire E5 Plus, a device that offers basic features, but with a modern and attractive design. Although it is the product of an ODM manufacturer and not directly made by the Taiwanese company, the Wildfire E5 Plus aims to be an interesting choice for users looking for a functional smartphone at an affordable price.
HTC Returns to the Market with the Wildfire E5 Plus

The Wildfire E5 Plus features a large display from 6,75 inches, with an HD+ resolution (720p+) and a 90Hz refresh rate, ensuring good visual fluidity. Although it has not been specified, it is assumed that the panel is an IPS LCD, characterized by sharp colors and adequate brightness. The front of the phone features a drop notch that houses the selfie camera, maintaining the current and clean design.
Under the hood, the device is powered by the chipset Unisoc T606, an essential mobile platform but suitable for everyday use without too many pretensions. Combined with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal memory, the Wildfire E5 Plus offers a smooth experience for basic tasks like browsing, social media, and streaming. Additionally, thanks to the presence of a microSD card slot, the storage can be further expanded, making the phone versatile for those who need more space for apps, photos, and videos. However, the chipset does not support 5G connectivity, limiting itself to 4G networks.
The photographic compartment of the Wildfire E5 Plus includes a main camera from 50MP, accompanied by a 2MP depth sensor. This setup allows you to capture sharp images, with portrait blur effects thanks to the secondary sensor. On the front, the selfie camera is 16MP, ideal for taking selfies or making video calls with good quality.
The device is equipped with a battery 5.000mAh, which should provide enough battery life for a full day of use. However, there is no information on fast charging support. The Wildfire E5 Plus comes with Android 14 pre-installed, offering an up-to-date software experience and access to the latest operating system features.
The HTC Wildfire E5 Plus was initially launched in Vietnam, priced at VND 2.379.000 (about $87). There are currently no details on a possible global release, and it may remain an exclusive to select markets.
