After about a couple of weeks of previews released by the Huami brand, the new Amazfit GTS has finally become official today. The smartwatch, which we had already seen in this post, comes with a new design very similar to that of the Apple Watch but with a more defined screen and obviously lower price.
The Amazfit GTS uses the same GTR materials released a few weeks ago and which you can find the review in This Page. We are therefore talking about a very strong and light aluminum alloy body. The weight is in fact only 24,8 grams, while the thickness of the case is 9,4mm.

Inside the case there is also a screen of 1,65 inches diagonal, in color and AMOLED type. The display has a resolution of 348 x 442 pixels for a PPI (pixel per inch) of 341, therefore more defined than the Apple Watch and at the limit as regards the AMOLED technology; finally we have a range of 100% NTSC colors.
Thanks to the new square design of the screen, Amazfit claims to have optimized the interface even more, adding two new modules that allow you to read more information at the same time. These can then be modified as required.
The GTS is equipped with a new optical PPG sensor for bio-tracking and a "bio-data" artificial intelligence system, this will allow us to identify cases of arrhythmia (including atrial fibrillation) and therefore potentially save your life. Then there are 12 traditional sports modes, waterproof up to 5 ATM, dual satellite positioning, NFC module to go on buses and for daily use (at least in China). While autonomy stands at 14 days.
Finally, as regards the price, the Amazfit GTS will go on sale for the amount of 899 yuan, or on the 113 euros at the current exchange rate.

We don't see why it shouldn't arrive, but we could wait for weeks if not months.
I hope so because the PPG function, if implemented also in the global version, would be very interesting ... ..
