Huami is ready to produce Amazfit X, the smartwatch of the future

The months of August and September have really given us so many emotions, starting with the release of new products until we reach the long-awaited MIUI 11, the interface that ALL, nobody excluded, were waiting for. As for the products, Huami collaborated with Xiaomi to create his two new gems: Amazfit GTS e Amazfit Sports Watch 3. Taking a bit of surprise, however, what we are used to calling the Chinese telephony giant's sub-brand, also presented an unprecedented product that is about to begin its production. Let's talk about theAmazfit X, the smartwatch of the future that left everyone present during the conference speechless. But because we understood, under the lines, that Huami is not a sub-brand? Because it is she who has clarified this matter today.

Huami is ready to produce Amazfit X, the smartwatch of the future

Through a post on Chinese social Weibo, the official Huami channel has announced that the mass production of the processor that we will find inside the smartwatch will begin on next year, probably in January. If you remember well, by August the news had already been leaked that the Chinese brand was in the hands for the production of a new 7nm processor: well it was just about Huangshan 2 (considering that the 1S has never been seen again), the one we will find under the body of the next one concept smartwatch Amazfit X.

With regard to technical of the next wearable of the Chinese brand, we already know what awaits us. For convenience, we list everything below:

  • : it is a display owner, completely designed and built by Huami. More precisely we will find one 2.07 ′ curved screen'in which the distance between the curved part more outside and the final one (where the strap will be attached) is of 12.5 mm for a total of 92 degrees of curvature. This bending process besides making the more resistant display, makes of theAmazfit X a wearable with the largest screen ever. Certainly getting used to the elongated rather than round shape will be a step for many, but it's worth seeing what it can do;
  • materials and design: everything that is not a screen will be built entirely of metal and therefore there will be no danger, unless you purposely destroy it, of accidental broken belts. In terms of design, as you can see in the photo, the curved lines are the master on this device that will be formed altogether by 3 parts of different sizes: in each one there will be a motherboard. This for avoid measures excessively large;
  • battery: it will be one 22o mAh which according to the manufacturer will be able to power the device for at least 7 days.

But the news did not end here because today the brand has kept us underlined something very clearly. We have always been used to calling Huami the "sub-brand of Xiaomi", the one in charge of producing smartwatches on his behalf. In fact, as stated by the executives, the brand has in no way an exclusive relationship with the Chinese giant of smartphones. Huami CEO confirmed that both companies have "collaborated"To more projects in the construction of different products, but they have not signed an exclusive agreement for the production or development of Xiaomi wearables.

This means that for the next products, maybe already from the Mi Band 5, Huami may decide that it is "just his" and not rely on Xiaomi's channels for sale, or not to make it a partner for production and development. By the way, who knows when the Mi Band 5 will be released ...
