Huawei and OPPO agree to grant licenses and patents
“After more than 20 years of constant innovation, Huawei has developed several high-value patent portfolios in the global market, in areas such as 5G, Wi-Fi and audio/video codecs,” said Alan Fan, Director of the Department of intellectual property of Huawei.
“We are delighted to have entered into a cross licensing agreement with OPPO. Mutual recognition among companies of the value of intellectual property represents an important step towards promoting a positive cycle of innovation and research in the context of high-value standards: investing, obtaining returns from investments and subsequently reinvesting. This will enable our industry to continue to innovate and deliver more competitive products and services to consumers."
