Huawei P60 series: that's when it will be presented!

As soon as MWC2023 in Barcelona ended, Huawei immediately returned to talking about itself: despite the bitter surprise for all fans of not having seen any new device presented at the most anticipated industry event of the year, the company let it be known that a Huawei P60 Series launch event. When? Mark the date: 23 March 2023.

One of the first rumors concerning the new Huawei P60 series concerned precisely the rear camera module: some photos of a possible cover began to reveal what the new design of the next flagship from Huawei could be.

The rear camera module has been visibly renewed and we find as the main camera a combination of 789-megapixel Sony IMX888 + IMX50 sensors with variable physical aperture and OIS optical image stabilization, flanked by a second ultra-wide-angle 50-megapixel camera and a 64-megapixel zoom. The RYYB periscopic zoom, launched for the first time with the famous Huawei P30 Pro, also seems to be making a comeback. On the other hand, we will find a 32-megapixel camera from the front.

Still speaking of the photographic sector of the new Huawei P60 series, the new version Huawei XMAGE 2.0 will be released on board the new flagships of the house.

Following the divorce with Leica, Huawei as we know developed its own imaging technology for its flagship devices which now evolves to Huawei XMAGE 2.0 version

XMAGE focuses on 4 main areas: optical system, mechanical structure, imaging technology and image processing. Given the excellent work done with the first version, released with the Huawei Mate 50 Pro, there is a lot of anticipation and curiosity to see what improvements Huawei has introduced with this new version and it couldn't find a better time to present it than on board its new devices of the Huawei P60 series. New XMAGE 2.0 technology combined with a new renewed and improved camera module: a top-level photographic sector is expected.

After talking about the most curious aspect concerning the new Huawei P60 series, let's see together what are the expected technical specifications of the new device:

  • Combination RAM and internal storage (LPDDR5X and UFS 4.0)
  • 6.6 inch diagonal display, QHD + and maximum refresh rate of 120 Hz with 1920Hz sampling frequency

  • 100W fast charging + 50W wireless charging
  • IP68 certification
  • Operating System: HarmonyOS 3 (for China market only), EMUI 13 (read the article)

Unexpected news however, was to discover that Huawei has certified an unpublished version called "ULTRA" for its new Huawei P60 series, arousing a lot of interest from enthusiasts. This wording "ULTRA" to date had remained a peculiarity of other manufacturers, such as Samsung and Xiaomi.

In short, a rich and demanding month is expected for Huawei. Smartphones, fodables, headphones, smartwatches, tallkbands, tablets: in short, new products for all tastes! Open your calendar and mark this date March 23 2023 date of the launch event where we hope that all expectations will be met and, perhaps, even a few more surprises: that it will be the perfect occasion also for the global launch of the long-awaited EMUI 13?
