Hugo Barra, the vice president of the Xiaomi international division, during an interview with an Indian technology site missed some interesting details.
The site in question is Digit.in who had the opportunity to discuss Xiaomi's development plans in India in depth. The interview is very interesting and those who know English I recommend reading especially for a couple of interesting details regarding all Xiaomi terminal holders.
He was asked very directly what his intentions are regarding theupdate to Androil L for commercially available devices (Mi3, RedMi, etc)
At the moment we do not have an exact schedule and we do not even have access to the code, as indeed no one else, but for sure we intend to release it as soon as possible.
So we know that it will be a matter of time but that Android L will also come to the old terminals.
Bar has also confirmed that much soon will be released the Mi3 kernel source code, absolutely new in the Xiaomi policy that has never been granted in the past.
