If you thought that the first version of HyperOS even if it was the only one, you were very wrong. If MIUI reached the 14th version before abandoning users, we can expect the same from the new interface of Xiaomi smartphones. In fact, apparently, the HyperOS 2.0 changelog was released as a preview on Chinese social media, revealing features and news. Here's what awaits us on smartphones compatible with HyperOS.
HyperOS 2.0: main features and innovations revealed
System animations will be optimized thanks to the new Photon Engine graphics engine, which not only makes them smoother and faster, but is also attentive to energy saving. Transition effects between apps and animated screens now appear natural, especially on devices with processors Snapdragon 8 Gen2 and higher, able to better manage even the most complex transitions.
The new engine AI Hypermind 2.0 works with HyperOS 2.0 to balance performance and battery life, adapting to user behavior and intelligently allocating resources. Also, the mode Always-On Display Allows further customization with various clock styles and screen-off messages.
The photography interface will be completely redesigned to be more intuitive and user-friendly, allowing simplified access to settings. Among the new advanced modes we find Street Photography, Master Shooting, 4K 60fps video recording with Dolby Vision, rotating zoom and depth of field expanded three times.
Xiaomi introduces two new dynamic wallpapers, the old Super Wallpapers, Ocean and Desert themed. These offer an immersive experience with subtle movements that adapt as the day changes, bringing a breath of visual freshness to HyperOS 2.0 compatible devices. Note that some of the new features, such as improvements in animations, will be fully exploitable only on devices with Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor and above.
The new option Razor Plan will offer a lighter operating system for Xiaomi models released after October 2024, ensuring an even more optimized experience. The user interface will reach a new level with Texture Advanced 2.0, where the graphic elements appear more detailed and refined, offering a pleasant tactile sensation to buttons and controls. The desktop grid has also been redesigned for a premium experience.
The lock screen will allow you to group related alerts, while widgets can be stacked for a cleaner look without taking up extra space. The control center will be integrated with the notification panel for an even more fluid and accessible experience.
I solved it once and for all by installing the Lineage OS 10 rom with Android 21 specifically compiled for Redmi Note 14 Pro on my Redmi Note 10 Pro, everything works, it has Google services, PlayStore and Miui cameras already pre-installed... it works so smoothly, the battery lasts much longer and security patches updated in April 2024...no more Miui!! the telephone became a toaster and lagged like a beast
Could you explain how you did it. Thank you.
After the disappointment of the first version of HyperOs on Poco F4, the original firmware is better
The first version really sucks. Damn me and when I updated!
Poco M4 pro 5G, I know it's a bit dated but, despite everything, it received the update to the first version of HyperOs... for me it was a disaster and I would really like to go back to MIUI 13
After updating both the videos (during recording) and the photos (when I have to frame) it moves jerkily and is not fluid. Redmi note 13 4G
It's a real shame that REDMI NOTE 10 Pro won't receive Hyperos... mine has been stopped since December 18, 2023, but wasn't support supposed to end in March 2024?
My version is MIUI 14.0.9.0.TKFEUXM November 2023 Security Patch.
I am very disappointed.
But it seems strange.
I just bought the Note 12 which, although new, has lower specifications and an inferior processor and was updated immediately.
Then as they say above you don't miss anything about what this hyper OS is about. Apart from a few embellishments and a huge new drop-down menu (nice mmmm I don't know) and a few more options. For the rest as before more than before …
Let's say that if you updated to Hyperos the support could continue a little, but now you no longer update, not even the Security Updates arrive, in fact we are at the end of May 2024, while as I wrote in my comment, mine brings the November Patch 2023.
In the system menu try to set the region to Singapore and then search for a new firmware update, it should find the MIUI 14 update, as soon as it has installed it, set the region back to Italy and perform a new search for the updated firmware, it should find the new HyperOS, I did this on my Poco F5 Pro and it worked.
Updated but in the English market in Italy I don't know.
