The smartphone market in the 2018 is in crisis, but the future is definitely brighter

It's almost the end of this 2018, a very intense year for the smartphone technology sector, in which the various brands have tried to amaze with ideas that are sometimes bizarre, sometimes brilliant, but on balance they did not so enthusiast mobile. In fact, for the first time (going by heart) in the history of this market, the smartphone sector recorded a loss in sales registering a value of -3%, a value that is more or less re-proposed to each brand.

As always, the illustrious company IDC gives us some food for thought, published a research that shows how between the 2017 and 2018 the entire global smartphone market has recorded a decline in sales of about 500 million units, but albeit this data is apparently discomforting, the companies that make up our beloved tech friends do not seem to cause concern. In fact, according to the IDC analysis, already starting from 2019, a surge will occur with maximum peak in 2020 and then arrive in 2022 at a growth rate of about 2% compared to the reference year 2017.

What is certainly interesting is the fact that it will be the Chinese smartphone market that drives this growth, led by companies such as Xiaomi and Huawei, several times on the podium of sales on a global scale and on continuous business growth. Also according to IDC, the top-of-the-range will drive the positive trend, as the will of mobile users seems increasingly to be directed towards lending devices, made with premium materials and with the latest technology on board.

Finally, again IDC, adds that the trend will be to have at least a 6-inch display, which will represent about 80% of the total market. What do you think of it? Do you agree with the IDC report or do you think there will be other expectations? After all, the era in which a Chinese device was thought of as something is over poco reliable.
