The Xiaomi has launched a new update of its latest top of the range, the Mi 8, recently, however, a big bug which caused the update to be removed. The bug added one notch that hides a considerable part of the entire screen. The Chinese company was informed of this and some other minor errors in the update, so they made the decision to remove the new version from the Mi 8.
Xiaomi should make the necessary corrections and release a new patch via OTA with corrections and stability in the software, so a new update is expected soon. Usually the most recent versions of a ROM may have some minor bugs that can be fixed by hotfixes, but in this case, since this is a serious error, the update was removed immediately and the development of an update with errors and bugs fixed will be released shortly improving stability.
A job that can be complicated when we talk about a very changeable and complex personalization layer like MIUI, which is updated weekly. The Xiaomi Mi 8 has provided excellent results, the company has also launched the Xiaomi Mi 8 Explorer Edition the 24 July and the Xiaomi Mi 8 SE in its RAM edition from 6 GB.
Also, both Xiaomi Mi 8 SE and Mi 8 Explorer Edition have been certified by Eurasian Economic Commission (ECC) as devices suitable for commercialization in the European market, the certification validates these devices and some other Xiaomi brand products until January 2027.
Recall also that the latest top of the range of Chinese company, has a processor Snapdragon 845 octa core from 2,8 GHz and the Adreno 630 GPU. The RAM amounts to well 6 GB and there is also a version from 8 GB. The internal memory is respectively 64 or 256 GB, in both cases unfortunately not expandable. Connectivity is also fair. Wi-Fi is LTE up to 1024 Mbps and the 20 band is also present in the Asian version. The Wi-Fi is ac double-band, the Bluetooth is 5.0 and there is the NFC.
