We are practically just a few hours after the launch of new devices belonging to the Redmi Note 9 family, as suggested by the teasers who accompanied the announcement of the presentation event by Xiaomi set for tomorrow April 30 at 14:00 Italian time. We should theoretically attend the global debut of the Redmi Note 9 Pro Max, which could debut with the name of Note 9S Pro, but with today we do not want to focus on this, considering that tomorrow we would have the opportunity to deepen everything, but rather on the question concerning the debut of new 5G devices by Redmi for the Chinese market.
Previously the CEO of Redmi, Lu Weibing had confirmed that the Redmi Note 9 family would have no future in China due to the absence of 5G connectivity, a feature on which all the future Xiaomi lineup will focus:
The company does not plan to launch Redmi Note 9 on the Chinese market. Our goal is to focus on manufacturing 5G-enabled phones, expanding our portfolio with new options for the Chinese people.
Following these claims it can therefore be said that Redmi Note 9 will follow the story of Redmi Note 6. For those who don't remember, the sixth generation of the Note family has been practically ignored in China, jumping directly to the launch of Redmi Note 7.
Redmi Note 10 and 10 Pro with MediaTek CPU ready for debut in China
So on balance we can say that the new Redmi Note 10 and 10 Pro are coming to China, considering the certification of two new smartphones by the Chinese Ministry of Communications and Technology as support.
Speaking of these new terminals, the alleged Redmi Note 10 and 10 Pro, we can understand that the basic variant will have support for 22,5 W fast charging while the Pro model will reach 33 W, both equipped with 5G connectivity. From rumors, the new Redmi Note 10 series will adopt the MediaTek Dimensity 800 5G / Dimensity 800 Plus processor for the Pro variant, SoC that will be made official by MediaTek during an online event set for May 7th.
