New international versions of Xiaomi RedMi ready to debut in India

New in sight for Xiaomi in India! After presenting in March the RedMi 4A and having climbed the sales and popularity rankings by the Indian public, Xiaomi is preparing for the release of new international versions of RedMi. In fact, the announcement by the official RedMi India account on the other morning confirms what the VP Global Senior Manu Jain implied just a couple of months ago on the occasion of the inauguration of the second factory on Indian soil.

It is rumored that the RedMi 4 (in its standard versions and Prime with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal memory) can be presented, which will expand the choice for consumers in the Asian sub-continent, even afflicted by some problem of available terminal pieces, but the news also indirectly affects us because the models in question will be equipped with the infamous 20 LTE band which is so much worried about a good deal of Italian and European users.

VP Xiaomi Manu Jain also said that this will be the second major announcement scheduled for the Indian market for this month after the opening of an official store Home in Bengaluru.

Meanwhile, in India afflicted by serious environmental pollution, Xiaomi has launched an electronic recycling program in collaboration with TES-AMM India.

This program offers recycling and recycling of electronic devices that comply with the "E-waste Management Rules" (2016) - Indian Waste Management Rules. Under these rules, the products that the company will retire will not be limited to those branded Xiaomi but will deal with several brands. Essentially, the recycling program includes electronic devices such as smartphones, powerbanks, speakers, headphones, etc., which have reached the end of their life (non-operational) but the company will not offer support, repair or spare parts for these products or for new.

To participate in this program, users must sign a form on the Xiaomi India website, after which the item will be collected free of charge within 15 days. To make the initiative more attractive, Xiaomi has made available coupons for those who decide to join the program.

Initiatives of this kind are very interesting and certainly to be encouraged. Once again: good Xiaomi!
