iQOO 9 and 9 Pro official: Snapdragon 8 Gen1 and LTPO 2.0 screen Samsung E5 starting from 3999 yuan (555 euros)

This afternoon iQOO officially released its first flagship series of 2022, the iQOO 9 series which includes the iQOO9 and iQOO 9 Pro.

Let's start with the latter, the iQOO 9 Pro which continues with the classic "Legend Edition" design of iQOO, combining for the first time the glossy white glass with the classic carbon fiber texture to create a flow of light and shadow under the glass. The iconic tri-color stripes are still eye-catching. Red represents passion and passion for racing, black represents the pursuit of technological innovation and blue represents the joy of exploring the unknown.

As for the specifications, the iQOO 9 Pro is equipped with a 5 inch Samsung E6,78 curved LTPO screen with a resolution of 3200 × 1440, supports 120Hz refresh rate, 300Hz touch sampling rate and adopts the latest 2.0 variable speed LTPO technology, ranging from 1 -120Hz according to different usage scenarios.

The new device also uses large-area 3D ultrasonic fingerprints developed on the basis of Qualcomm's second-generation Sonic 3D sensor technology. The fingerprint recognition area is 578mm² and the unlocking speed is just 0,2 seconds. It supports unlocking with wet hands and strong external light.

In terms of performance, the iQOO 9 Pro is equipped with Android's most powerful flagship processor, the Snapdragon 8 Gen1, with a maximum storage specification of 12GB and Samsung's first overclocking version of the UFS high-speed memory chip. 3.1.

For photos, the 9 Pro features Samsung's 5-megapixel ISOCELL GN50 sensor and also carries a 150 ° fisheye ultra wide-angle main lens that is mainly used in sports cameras. It is equipped with micro-pan-tilt technology, to obtain the “five-axis video anti-vibration VIS” feature. For selfies there is a 16MP camera.

In terms of autonomy, the iQOO 9 Pro has a built-in 4700mAh battery and supports 120W wired fast charging, which can be fully charged from 1% to 100% in 19 minutes, as well as 50W wireless charging.

Moving on to the iQOO 9, we have some differences in the screen which is still a 6,78-inch AMOLED panel, but with a 2400 × 1080 resolution and variable refresh rate range from 60Hz to 120Hz.

Furthermore, as regards the dimensions, the iQOO 9 has a thickness of 8,37 mm and a weight of 206,1 grams, while the iQOO 9 Pro Legend Edition has a thickness of 8,83 mm and a weight of 209,98 , 9,2 grams. The thickness is 203,92 mm and the weight is XNUMX grams.

As for performance, the iQOO 9 also comes with a Snapdragon 8, LPDDR5-6400 RAM and the overclocked version of UFS 3.1 flash memory, supports 120 W super flash charging and has a 4700 mAh battery. The main difference is that it doesn't have 50W fast wireless charging and it doesn't include the gallium nitride charger which is much more compact.

For photos, we find a 50MP camera with Samsung GN5 sensor, dual-core full-pixel focus and 7P lens, but it does not support the micro-head anti-shake of the iQOO 9 Pro. The ultra wide angle camera has 13MP resolution with Samsung 3L6 sensor and 13MP telephoto lens. Here too we find a 16MP selfie cam.

Finally, for prices, we have the iQOO 9 starting at 3999 yuan (555 euros) for the version with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal memory. While the iQOO 9 Pro starts at 4999 yuan (690 euros), always with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage.
